Selected recipes will be featured in the 2012 San Diego Roots Kitchen Garden Almanac, due Fall 2011. Recipes also may be featured on the Roots website or in our monthly newsletter.

PLEASE READ: Recipe Contest Rules
- Entrants must be residents of San Diego County.
- By entering in the contest each entrant gives San Diego Roots the right to use his or her recipe in any publication, website, or exhibit relating to this project.
- Recipes must have a strong emphasis on ingredients that can be sourced and grown locally and organically in San Diego County (in the particular season of each contest), include all natural ingredients and if possible the farm/location of origin.
- Recipes may be for food or drink.
- Follow this link to find out tips for what is available locally in San Diego during each month of the year.
- Please include bullets where appropriate in your recipe entry.
- Limit 1 entry per person per season (Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring).
- There is a required fee (donation) of $5/entry.
- All fees are received as donations to the San Diego Roots Sustainable Food Project's Grow the Farm Campaign to support Wild Willow Farm and Education Center, located in Imperial Beach.
- Open to all ages.
