Below are some guiding questions:
- What is your relationship to food?
- Where do you draw the line: what is REAL food?
- Where does your food come from? Do you grow it? Does your neighbor grow it?
- What do you eat?
- How do you prepare it?
- How do you eat (on one leg, with 3 fingers, with a tortilla or chopsticks)?
- When do you eat (on the way to school, while biking, at sunrise)?
- Who do you eat with (alone, with family or friends)?
What do you WIN?
Selections from the contests will be included in the San Diego Roots 2012 Kitchen Garden Alamanac, due Fall 2011.
We're still working on the rest of the details, but you can expect things like CSA boxes, gift certificates, t-shirts, free entry to workshops, and more.
All winning photos from the 2010 contest were on display at Sea Rocket Bistro, and were also displayed at the Art of Agriculture Harvest Festival in October at Wild Willow Farm. You can view a selection entries online here.
